New partner
Last January, Selenta Group became part of Sport Cultura Barcelona. Jordi Mestre Masdeu, president of the Group, is the representative in our Association.
Since its foundation in 1976, they have pursued a single objective: to achieve the full satisfaction of their customers. The effort and constant search for excellence of the entire team has made possible the birth of Selenta Group.
The corporate brand that encompasses and represents the divisions of the chain that currently manages 9 hotels in different cities in Spain, as well as franchises of important international brands.

On October 16th, the Sport Culture Barcelona Awards took place.
The people who read the gloss of the winners were:

Mr. Ramon Besa to Mr. Joaquim M. Puyal, awarded for Best Career.

Lunch with Mr. Jaume Collboni
in Club Natació Barcelona
The Second Deputy Mayor for Business, Culture and Innovation, of Barcelona City Council, Mr. Jaume Collboni, held a lunch with the members of Sport Cultura Barcelona.
During the meal, current issues related mainly to the field of Culture were discussed, the attending members were able to exchange and comment on their impressions with Mr. Collboni.

REIAL CLUB MARÍTIM DE BARCELONA
New partner
On June 22th, the Reial Club Marítim de Barcelona became a member of Sport Cultura Barcelona. Sonia Güell Peris, vice president, is the representative in the Association's Assembly.
Currently Sport Cultura Barcelona has 42 corporate partners, 14 founding partners and 2 sponsors.

Lunch with the President of Spanish Olympic Committee
in Real Club de Tenis Barcelona
Alejandro Blanco, president of the Spanish Olympic Committee, held a meeting with representatives of Sport Cultura Barcelona, led by its president, Albert Agustí, at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona, to know about their proposals, activities and ideas, within the framework of a institutional lunch.
The meeting allowed the members of Sport Cultura Barcelona and the Spanish Olympic Committee to get to know each other about the activities that are carried out by each of the organizations. The meeting was attended by a total of 20 members of the entity.

Lunch with the President of Unió de Federacions Esportives de Catalunya (UFEC)
in Real Club de Polo de Barcelona
Mr. Gerard Esteva, president of the Unió de Federacions Esportives de Catalunya (UFEC), participated in a colloquium lunch with the members of Sport Cultura Barcelona.
Esteva, an athlete, violinist and law graduate who has been president of the UFEC since July 2014, explained what this sports institution, was established in 1933 and reinstated in 1985 by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The group of partners who participated in this lunch were able to know well the operation and purposes of this entity, which is defined as a body of solidarity between the Catalan sports federations and the whole of sport in Catalonia, in addition to debate and problem solving or interfederative issues and training in sports education.

Lunch with Mercè Conesa, President of Diputació de Barcelona
in Círculo del Liceu
Ms. Mercè Conesa, president of the Diputació de Barcelona, shared a colloquium lunch with the members of Sport Cultura Barcelona.
During it, current issues affecting the day-to-day life of Catalan civil society were discussed. Mercè Conesa, President of the Diputació is also the mayor of Sant Cugat del Vallès since the end of 2010, she knows first-hand the moments of change and events that are taking place and the concerns that it causes to the public. The partners were able to ask her questions, which generated an interesting discussion about the issues causing the changes and possible solutions. and training in sports education.

Lunch with the President of Generalitat de Catalunya
in Palau de la Música
The president of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Mr. Carles Puigdemont, held a meeting with the members of Sport Cultura Barcelona to know about their proposals, activities and ideas, within the framework of an institutional lunch.
This lunch was attended by fifty businessmen, executives and heads of cultural and sports entities that make up the Association.

Reception of the Father Abbot of Montserrat
Visit to Montserrat
The members of Sport Cultura Barcelona were invited to a private visit to the Abbey of Montserrat.
The group of assistants who went to the Monastery was received in audience by the Father Abbot of Montserrat. At the end of this audience, Brother Antón Gordillo accompanied them to visit various rooms of the monastic complex, such as the cloister, the library and the chapter house.

XII edition
The winners of the XII edition of the Barcelona Sport Cultura Awards, in its three categories, were:
Sport: Ruth Beitia, athlete, high jump specialist.
Culture: Jordi Hurtado, presenter of the program ''Saber y gana'', 20 years on the air.
Best Career: Joaquim Maria Puyal, journalist, TV host and sports broadcasting host.
